Something Borrowed Movie Review: Your Typical Chick Flick Runs A Bit Long

I caught an advance screening of Something Borrowed, the movie based on the novel by chick lit best selling author Emily Giffin (one of my faves!). I read the book and loved it, so did I feel the same about the movie version? Read my review below. Tagline – “Friendships are tested and secrets come to the surface when terminally single Rachel falls for Dex, her best friend Darcy’s fianc�.” If you’ve seen the trailers for this movie, you pretty much get the gist of what happens in the flick. I don’t think it’s really necessary to warn you of my spoiler alert coming up next, right? In a normal world, many aren’t very accepting of the notion that a BFF would sleep with her best friend’s fiance, how could one do that, right? In the book, which was wonderfully written, I found myself actually cheering Rachel on. I read it in a day because I couldn’t wait to find out what happens in the end. Ginnifer Goodwin stars as Rachel, the good girl, and Kate Hudson as her obnoxious and self-centered BFF, Darcy. They have been friends since childhood.
