Justin Bieber's 'One Less Lonely Girl' Focus Of Royalty Lawsuit
Managers of the A-Rex songwriting team are looking for $200,000 they claim that they are owed from the hit song.

Justin Bieber's hit anthem "One Less Lonely Girl" has a couple of music managers feeling a bit left out in the cold. Vance Tate and Thomas Oliveria, who represent the songwriting team A-Rex — composed of Sean Hamilton and Hyuk Shin — have filed a lawsuit seeking additional royalties from the tune, which appears on Bieber's hit 2008 debut, My World.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the managers claim that the A-Rex team created "Lonely Girl," which is credited on My World to Hamilton and Shin, along with Ezekiel Lewis, Bieber mentor Usher and Balewa Muhammad.
Tate and Oliveria allege that they are entitled to 10 percent of the publishing royalties tied to A-Rex's share of the song, an amount they peg at around $200,000. They are seeking damages for breach of contract, fraud, conversion and copyright infringement. A spokesperson for Bieber's label could not be reached for comment on the lawsuit at press time.
The suit not only names Hamilton and Shin, but also EMI Music Publishing and the L.A. Reid Music Publishing Company, which is connected to Bieber's former label boss, Antonio "L.A." Reid, who recently stepped down as chairman of Island Def Jam Records to be a judge on Simon Cowell's upcoming "X Factor" reality show.
Another Bieber song, "Pray," meanwhile, is included on a just-released all-star charity benefit album Songs for Japan, proceeds from which will aid the victims of the earthquake/tsunami disaster in Japan. The Bieber track appears alongside tunes from Lady Gaga, Eminem, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Madonna, the Kings of Leon and Katy Perry.

On Monday, we learned the names of some of the stars set to appear on Songs For Japan, a compilation album to benefit the ongoing disaster relief efforts in the earthquake- and tsunami-ravaged nation. And on Friday (March 25), not only was the full roster of artists and songs revealed, but the album was made available for purchase on iTunes.
Lady Gaga, Eminem, Beyoncé, Madonna, the Kings of Leon and Katy Perry joined a list of already-announced artists like Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj and Rihanna on the album, which is available worldwide on the iTunes Store for $9.99. Proceeds from the sale of Songs for Japan will benefit the Japanese Red Cross Society.
All in all, 38 artists lent songs to the album, including legends like Bob Dylan, U2, Bruce Springsteen and the late John Lennon; country acts like Keith Urban and Lady Antebellum; rock artists like the Foo Fighters, R.E.M. and Bon Jovi; pop icons like Madonna and Pink; and top hitmakers like Bruno Mars and David Guetta.
All acts appearing on Songs for Japan — and their labels and music publishers — have waived their royalties and proceeds from the worldwide sales of the album to insure the Japanese Red Cross Society receives as much support as possible. After meeting the Biebs, Odd Future MC tells MTV News he wants them to 'do fun sh-- that I feel like he hasn't been able to do.'

Needless to say, Justin Bieber has a lot fans. From Kanye West to Kim Kardashian to nearly every teenage girl in the world, Bieber has amassed quite a dedicated following. But he seems to have picked up a rather odd fan along the way as well.
Odd Future's Tyler, the Creator has Bieber Fever in a big way. In fact, the MC has called the teenage Canuck his idol. In the days leading up to the premiere of Bieber's 3-D movie, "Never Say Never," Tyler could be found online tweeting down the days until its release. So of course, when the two finally met late last month, Tyler was excited.
"I WAS JUST WITH JUSITN F---ING BIEBER. F---," Tyler tweeted. "HE LIKED YONKERS, F---."
Two photos emerged of the two together, one blurry and the other showing the teen sensations posing side-by-side. When MTV News caught up with Tyler — and the rest of Odd Future — at South by Southwest, he still had a huge smile on his face.
"We [were] kicking it with him for like 10, 20 minutes. He's a chill dude. First thing he was like, 'Oh, I just finished talking about your video, that sh-- was crazy," Tyler said. "He just started asking me questions about my sh--, and it was kind of weird because I was going to ask him sh--. But he was intrigued enough [about] what we had going on."
He also said he showed the Biebs how to pose for their photo. Initially, Bieber threw up the peace sign, but Tyler convinced him to swag it out another way. Bieber was really chill and Tyler hopes they'll hang out soon.
"I want to take him egging cars and f---ing sh-- up and paintball and just go skate and go do fun sh-- that I feel like he hasn't been able to do," the MC said.

Beyonce May Work With Diplo, Sleigh Bells On New Album
Producer says he was 'in NYC tryin' to make tracks' for B and Bells' songwriter/guitarist.
By James Montgomery

Over the years, Diplo has worked with everyone from Thom Yorke to Spank Rock (and, of course, M.I.A.) so perhaps it should come as no surprise that, for his next collaboration, he's chosen to work with none other than Beyoncé. Oh, and electro-slammers Sleigh Bells, too. It all makes sense, in some bizarre way.
This is according to Dip himself, who posted a message — and a remix of the Sleigh Bells track "Tell 'Em" — on his blog, in which he let it be known that he, his production partner Switch and Sleigh Bells' songwriter/guitarist Derek Miller just wrapped sessions for Beyoncé's follow-up to I Am ... Sasha Fierce. He wasn't quite sure what would come of the tracks they created.
"Me and Switch was in [the] studio in NYC tryin' to make tracks with Derek and Beyoncé last week after we played her team [Sleigh Bells'] album," Diplo wrote. "Dunno if we gonna manage to finish, but [it] was good times."
At the very least, you know Bey's husband, indie-rock fan Jay-Z, is pumped by the news. Diplo is just the latest in an ever-growing list of top-flight producers who have worked with Beyoncé in recent months. There's still no release date or tentative title for her upcoming album, but she's logged studio time with the likes of S1 (he of "Power" fame), Ne-Yo, Sean Garrett and Jim Jonsin.
A spokesperson for Beyoncé did not respond to MTV News' request for comment on the Diplo tracks by press time.

When decorated soldier Captain Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) wakes up in the body of an unknown man, he discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train. Turns out he's part of a government experiment called the "Source Code," which enables him to cross over into another man's identity in the last eight minutes of his life. With a second, much larger target threatening to kill millions in downtown Chicago, Colter relives the incident over and over again, gathering clues each time, so that he can solve the mystery of who is behind the bombs and prevent the next attack.
What They're Saying:
"Source Code bats around interesting philosophical ideas about the elasticity of time, and the director finds moments of humor in unlikely corners of that train of fools." - EW
"Part of the fun of Duncan Jones's frequently clever sci-fi thriller is being as in-the-dark as the film's protagonist." - Time Out New York
Good For Kids?
Source Code packs explosive romance, action and drama -- all a bit much for the little ones.
Hop
Short Story:
The battle for Easter is on! In Hop, Despicable Me's Russell Brand voices E.B., the teenage son of the Easter Bunny who's primed to take over the family business. The only snag? E.B. wants to be a drummer, so he strikes out for Hollywood, where he persuades Fred (James Marsden), an unemployed slacker with his own lofty goals, to take him in. But when a power-hungry chick stages a coup back on Easter Island, E.B. and Fred team up to figure out who they really are and how they can save Easter.
What They're Saying:
"Despite its scattered frenzy, Hop -- thanks to its fondness for smushing together seemingly incongruous elements and Marsden's goofy, bug-eyed mugging -- is just demented enough to deliver a fleeting sugar rush." -- Village Voice
"You'll laugh a lot at this colourful Easter treat, so hop to it." -- Birmingham Post
Good For Kids?
The kids will fall in love with the adorable fur ball and his silly antics.
Insidious
Short Story:
Josh and Renai have a happy family with their three young children -- but when tragedy strikes their young son, the couple begins to experience things that science cannot explain.
What They're Saying:
"The film is stylish and quietly unsettling even in its derivativeness, and it delivers the sort of slow-building chills that ruffle the hair at the back of your neck, at least until the frights get a little too literal, in the movie's third act." -- Miami Herald
"Director James Wan and screenwriter Leigh Whannell admire all sorts of fright, from the blatant to the insidiously subtle. This one lies at an effective halfway point between those extremes." - Chicago Tribune
Good For Kids?
Keep the kids far away from this spooky sci-fi flick.
In case you missed...
Sucker Punch
Short Story:
A young girl, Baby Doll (Emily Browning) is sent to live in an mental asylum by her vindictive stepfather. The film also stars Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Vanessa Hudgens and Jamie Chung.
What They're Saying:
"Director Zach Snyder offers a peek inside his head, which turns out to be a vomatorium of pop culture's every geeky element." - Slant Magazine
"The production and art direction are top notch. With that Snyder has made young men's wildest dreams and fantasies a reality on screen." - Twitchfilm.com
Good For Kids?
A violent, sexy thriller that packs a punch -- be sure to keep the kids away from this one.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules
Short Story:
In this comedic follow-up, reformed wimp Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) and his older brother Rodrick (Devon Bostick) must learn to coexist after their parents' make a misguided attempt to have them bond.
What They're Saying:
"Endearing underdog hero Greg Heffley returns for another year of middle-school humiliation." - Variety
"Apparently seventh grade doesn't pack as much potential for amusing, scarred-for-life trauma as sixth grade." - Orlando Sentinel
Good For Kids?
The young ones will love this story about an unlikely "cool" kid.

Arnold Schwarzenegger To Star In 'The Governator' Cartoon
Stan Lee-animated TV series/ comic book will follow a crime-fighting ex-governor.
By Gil Kaufman

It sounded like an April Fool's gag that came a few days early: Former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger would follow up his two terms as the state's boss with an animated series penned by comic legend Stan Lee in which he plays a, yes, crime-fighting ex-governor.
But if you pick up Friday's issue of Entertainment Weekly, you will see that it's no joke. The cover features an image of a buff cartoon Arnold as "The Governator."
"When I ran for governor back in 2003 and I started hearing people talking about 'the Governator,' I thought the word was so cool," Schwarzenegger, 63, told the magazine. "The word Governator combined two worlds: the world of politics and the movie world. And [this cartoon] brings everything together. It combines the governor, the Terminator, the bodybuilding world, the 'True Lies' ..."
The combination TV series-comic book is being co-developed by "Spider-Man" co-creator Lee and is slated to roll out in 2012. Lee promised that not only will the Governator be a great superhero, he will also depict plenty of autobiographical elements from the real action-star-turned-politician's life.
"We're using all the personal elements of Arnold's life. We're using his wife [Maria Shriver]. We're using his kids," said Lee of the semi-fictional character. "We're using the fact that he used to be governor. Only after he leaves the governor's office, Arnold decides to become a crime fighter and builds a secret high-tech crime-fighting center under his house in Brentwood."
In classic crime-fighter fashion, the Governator will have his tricked-out Arnold Cave, along with a fleet of super-vehicles and a closet full of "Super Suits" that allow him to fly and perform super-stunts. He'll also have some classic sidekicks, including Zeke Muckerberg, a precocious 13-year-old computer whiz who handles the Governator's cybersecurity.
The best part? A group of recurring super-villains from the organization Gangsters Imposters Racketeers Liars & Irredeemable Ex-Cons (a.k.a. G.I.R.L.I.E. Men, of course).
The magazine has a gallery with images from the comic book, including the chiseled-faced Schwarzenegger in his wide-lapelled superhero costume, a "bubble mask" that uses high-tech gum to create a disguise, an imposing armor outfit with energy blade weapons in the boots, and a sleek superbike that features wheels filled with something called an "animating plasma field."
Are you pumped up about "The Governator" comic book and animated series? Tell us in the comments.

'Diary Of Facebook' Shines Light On Site's Inspirational Stories
'Diary of Facebook' premieres tonight at 11 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
By Eric Ditzian
Facebook consumer-marketing employee Erin
Photo: MTV News & Docs
From San Francisco to Sudan, Facebook users have been sharing stories of hope and inspiration with each other. No two accounts are the same, but they all share one thing: Stories.Facebook.com, the social-networking site's effort to highlight its users' life-changing tales.
During MTV's "Diary of Facebook" — airing tonight at 11 p.m. ET/PT — viewers will go inside the company's endeavor and hear directly from a handful of users with truly incredible stories.
"This is a really great outlet where people can share how the site has affected their lives," says Erin, a consumer-marketing employee at Facebook and a driving force behind the effort. "We all kind of rally together and celebrate around things like that ... by flying out a ton of people from all over the country to show them how thankful we are for sharing their story. Our engineers here at Facebook don't know it, but they're going to get an opportunity to meet all of our guests."
Among those guests is a woman named Holly, who received a reminder from a Facebook friend to conduct a breast self-examination, only to discover she, indeed, had a lump — one that would later be diagnosed as breast cancer.
"Facebook saved my life," the cancer survivor says.
There's Sgt. Dale Sweetnam, who speaks eloquently about the way Facebook allows soldiers to connect with family members, no matter where in the world they're stationed. And there's Tracy, a woman who was put up for adoption as an infant and tracked down her biological siblings through the site. "I promised myself I wasn't going to cry," she says as she meets her brother and sister for the first time.
"Diary of Facebook" will bring viewers not only these stories, but unique peeks at the company as a whole, from founder Mark Zuckerberg's insights about the business' culture and evolution to a fly-on-the-wall look at its famous "hack-a-thons".
It's during a hack-a-thon on "Diary" that a technical engineer at Facebook named Pedram, who usually spends his days assuring users have safe online experiences, gets to ditch his regular work duties and attempt to build a groundbreaking application in just 24 hours.
"Hack-a-thons are this awesome part of our culture," Zuckerberg says. "Every month or two, everyone stays up all night just experimenting with things and building things quickly. And the only rule is that you're not allowed to work on the same thing that your day job is."
This is Facebook like you've never seen it before — an all-access pass inside the company's headquarters in Palo Alto, California. You might think you know everything there is to know about the most popular social-networking site in the world, but you have no idea.
Tune in to "Diary of Facebook," airing tonight at 11 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.

'American Idol' Elton John Night Boosts Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams
Pia Toscano and Scotty McCreery also wow the judges.
By Gil Kaufman
"American Idol" top ten plus one
Photo: FOX
Theme nights are always tricky, and on Wednesday (March 30), the "American Idol" top 11 had to take on the imposing catalog of Elton John. Some soared and some crashed, and a couple of recent cellar dwellers — Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart — appeared to pull themselves out of the fire with gutsy performances.
As always on non-country theme weeks, the question was "What is Scotty McCreery going to do this time?" He made the obvious choice, the obscure "Country Comfort," which he picked because it had the word "country" in it, but also because it's one of Elton's only country-leaning tunes.
With lyrics about grandmas and factory closings, it was pretty much what you'd expect: a Vince Gill-esque, aw-shucks acoustic amble accented by pedal steel and piano — with a shout-out to his real granny! — that, well, sounded like just about everything McC has done so far.
"Nothin' I could say to you that an old-fashioned pair of high-heeled cowboy boots wouldn't fix," Steven Tyler gushed cryptically, adding that he (still) loves everything about the teen crooner. Once again, Jennifer Lopez gave the most sage advice, encouraging Scotty not to get too in his head and doubt himself. Randy Jackson marveled at how fast Scotty has matured on the program and said he felt like he was at a headlining show by the "Idol" finalist.
If Scotty always brings the country rumble, dreadlocked rude girl Naima Adedapo similarly finds a way to add a reggae swag to her songs. Wearing a white jumpsuit with red, yellow and green accents, she gave a Bob Marley-esque island vibe to "I'm Still Standing," struggling at points to keep in tune but truly making it her own and creating one of the most unique "Idol" makeovers in the recent memory.
Lopez and Jackson loved the reggae lilt but weren't sure if it wasn't a better idea than the payoff, and maybe a bit corny.
Talk about someone totally in the pocket on Elton night. Paul McDonald went for it with the legendary "Rocket Man," which mentor Jimmy Iovine suggested he play like it was an encore in front of 20,000 screaming fans. Wearing his signature flowered country suit and strumming an acoustic guitar, McDonald started out mellow and seductive, with just a piano for accompaniment. It seemed like he blew off Iovine's advice, because while he retained that ragged Ray LaMontagne vibe, he barely got out of second gear, keeping things mostly low-key and feathery.
Randy called it "quiet comfort" and said, despite being pitchy, Paul's soft, gentle voice was once again infectious, and Jennifer suggested he was holding back and needed to let loose.
"Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" is an old "Idol" favorite, and despite being counseled to move out of the ballad-ballad-ballad routine, Pia Toscano went with the emotional staple. With a subtle arrangement, Toscano put the focus squarely on her powerful voice and, backed by a gospel choir, she seemed to hit the sweet spot once more.
"Pia, you've done it again," Tyler said, gently needling Randy's suggestion that Pia switch it up. "That's what you are and you sang it, you nailed it. And you know how I know a good song? It makes me cry inside ... that's just about as good as it gets." Lopez said the notes Pia chooses take the audience to "an otherworldly place" and that Toscano seems poised to break through to another level.
Stefano Langone made his first trip to the bottom three last week, so he was probably hoping that the epic "Tiny Dancer" would do the trick. But the cheesy arrangement and his smarmy Disney-style performance probably didn't save the day.
All three judges liked it and said Stefano seemed to be really taking their notes and trying to connect with the audience, keep his eyes open and his voice focused on his sweet, high range.
Teen Lauren Alaina was just a toddler during the second revival of ultimate weeper "Candle in the Wind" in 1997, but her restrained, country lilt came off like the ultimate mash-up of past "Idol" divas Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. Though the performance was a bit sedate, her vocals were controlled and crisp and she gave off her usual über-confident vibe.
For Randy, it was one of the best performances yet from Lauren, and Lopez said it was simply "it," as the panel was unanimous in its praise for the preternaturally poised high-schooler.
"Saturday Night's Alright (For Fighting)" was the perfect audience-rocking tune for resident hell-raiser James Durbin, who rolled the dice by starting out in the crowd and then slowly making his way down to the stage. He looked like a seasoned arena vet (with a touch of "Rock of Ages" Broadway showmanship), hopping up on the piano, tossing his mic stand and summoning the flames as fire rose up from the candy-apple red keyboard. He topped it off, of course, with one of his rebel yells.
Coming from someone who knows, Tyler told James he had a "really good rock voice," but warned him not to wear out his welcome by overusing his rocksetto upper range. "You'll wind up like me," he joked. Lopez said she forgot it was a reality competition, calling it a great performance by a great artist, and Jackson applauded the fact that James just seems to be having fun when he's onstage.
Also on the cusp of elimination last week, youngest contest Thia Megia went with the poignant "Daniel," with Iovine suggesting that she get away from the high school dramatics and focus on the emotion in the lyrics. She may have taken the advice to heart, but the bland, glitch pop arrangement from Jim Jonsin and Megia's once again pageanty delivery (the ground cover of fog didn't help) mostly fell flat until the very last verse, where some palpable passion came into her quavering voice.
"That was beautiful!" J.Lo enthused, saying Megia really seemed to internalize the song's meaning and find a tune that fit her style. Randy liked how it showed Thia's more relaxed side, but once again felt a bit safe, while Tyler said she found the right song to suit her voice.
After nearly going home last week, Casey Abrams was out to prove the judges' save was worth it. He also took their advice and toned down his screeching and scowling for "Your Song." Sitting on a stool and accompanied by just piano, the more clean-cut singer (he chickened out on shaving his beard) was nuanced and understated, piling on some gritty emotion at the end and capping it all with a sweet falsetto run.
Randy reiterated that saving Casey was the best decision he and his fellow judges ever made on the show and said Abrams' tender yet still personality-plus performance was "absolutely brilliant."
It's fitting that Jacob Lusk first heard Mary J. Blige's version of "Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word" before he heard John's original. And, wouldn't you know it? Mary J. just happened to walk through the room when J.Lusk was rehearsing! With fog billowing around him, the gospel divo stood under a dramatic spotlight and gave a solemn, nearly funereal reading of the song, appearing on the verge of tears as he leaned heavily on his quavering, throaty falsetto and ignored Iovine's advice to not be overly theatrical.
The version simply slayed Tyler, who loved everything about it, with Lopez giving props to producer "Tricky" Stewart for tailoring the song to Lusk's voice and including a last, longing note. Randy praised his restraint, but told Lusk to pick that one special "Jacob spot" where he mashes his foot down on the gas.
For someone who has been a frequent visitor to the bottom three, it was surprising to see Haley Reinhart close Wednesday night's show. She went mellow with the rocker "Bennie and the Jets," and though she posed on the piano in her best "Fabulous Baker Boys" mode at the start, Haley transformed the FM radio staple into a stompy, bluesy lounge growler by the end.
It was all a bit odd, but the judges were way into it, with Jennifer yelling, "That was it, Haley! That's what we've been talking about," saying that, as Iovine suggested, she pulled the voice, the moves and confidence together to finally form a winning package. In fact, Randy barked that it the night's best performance as Tyler snarled about how sexy it was.

Sara Ramirez Sings Song from 'Grey's Anatomy' Musical Episode

Sara Ramirez will be flexing her musical-theater muscles on Thursday's big musical episode of Grey's Anatomy. The Tony winner, who plays doctor Callie Torres on the show, previewed one of the episode's tunes on Wednesday's Good Morning America. Watch her live rendition of Brandi Carlile's ballad "The Story" in the clip below!
Ramirez, 35, was actually invited to join Grey's Anatomy after network execs saw her acclaimed performance in Broadway's Spamalot. Naturally, series creator Shonda Rimes put Ramirez front and center in the "musical event," creating it as a hallucination in Callie's mind.
Even knowing about Ramirez's singing skills, her fellow cast members tell People that she blew them away. "She's pretty amazing! I mean, off the chart," says costar Kevin McKidd. "She's a Tony Award winner for a reason, and the rest of us bask in her shadow."
Patrick Dempsey, who opted out of singing ("I have no voice at all"), says that the rest of the cast really rose to the challenge, too. "Everybody was a little leery of it at first, because we were like, 'Well, should we jump on the bandwagon of Glee?" admits Dempsey. "But it was an opportunity, I think, for some of the cast members to really show their talents musically. And it's really quite moving when you hear Sara's voice and Kevin's voice. Even Justin Chambers sings beautifully, and Eric Dane does a great job."
Ramirez says that she was "really inspired" by the cast's willingness to sing on camera. For her, the most surprising musical talent was costar Chyler Leigh.
"She sings a beautiful song called 'Breathe,' and she does an amazing job," Ramirez told GMA. "She has never really sung before in public... She's so shy about it. Maybe this will be a new avenue for her. I just love her."
Indeed, Ramirez's self-titled EP hit iTunes this week, boasting four tracks: A cover of "The Story," plus three original songs titled "Break My Heart," "Waitin" and "Eye to Eye." Sounds like Glee may have some new competition on the charts!
Grey's Anatomy: The Musical Event airs Thursday night at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

Charlie Sheen Returning to TV on Drew Carey's New Show

Well, it's not HBO, but Charlie Sheen is going to be back on TV in just two weeks. According to Entertainment Weekly, the former Two and a Half Men star will take a break from burning bridges to appear on Drew Carey's new GSN show, Improv-A-Ganza. The half-hour improvised comedy, taped live before a studio audience in Las Vegas, Nev., will feature familiar faces from Carey's improv game show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" -- as well as guest stars like the Vatican Assassin Warlock himself.
So will GSN viewers see a preview of Sheen's Violent Torpedo of Truth Tour? Sadly, no -- according to the network, the episode was taped back in January, when Sheen was playing nice(r) with the powers that be.
Meanwhile, Uncle Charlie is working on his next venture: a rap single with Snoop Dogg, which he describes as "Sheenius." (If we may paraphrase Mean Girls for a moment: Stop trying to make "Sheenius" happen, Charlie. It's not happening.) Hmm... what happens when you combine Snoop Dogg with tiger blood? Guess we'll all find out when the single drops.
Sheen's guest appearance on Improv-A-Ganza will air on GSN on April 12. Check out a preview for the show below!

SAN FRANCISCO — Britney Spears turned the heat all the way up on Sunday morning (March 27), when she hit the stage at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco for a concert set to air on "Good Morning America." Her set list was similar to the one she followed just days earlier at a Las Vegas performance at the Palms Casino.
Fans will get to see her show when it airs Tuesday on "GMA" — the same day her Femme Fatale album drops — but the ones who were lucky enough to catch her on Sunday couldn't stop gushing about how "amazing" Brit was.
"So I totally loved how her bustier was lit up," Corina Andrati excitedly told MTV News moments after Spears wrapped her three-song set. "I'm so blessed to be here, and it's all about San Francisco."
Sarah added that Spears was as good as she was when her debut album dropped more than a decade ago. "It was amazing," she gushed. "It was so hot! We live here in the city, and she was sexier than ever and I'd go lesbian for her. She really blew it up."
"It was amazing," José added. "My favorite song was 'Till the World Ends' and I love the album and she's rocking it."
Randi Florence will now always remember her first-ever concert-going experience as a Britney Spears show. "We loved the show," Florence said. "It was my very first concert. I loved Britney. She's so amazing."
Sasha Yung shared her biggest highlight from the show. "I liked the last song, ['Till The World Ends']," she told us. "I liked the wind blowing through her hair and I loved her scandalous outfit."
Thomas loved that he's one of the first to experience hearing a new Femme Fatale track live. "I have to say the premiere of 'Big Fat Bass' [was great]," he said. "It was an amazing song and I loved the way she has it choreographed. It was stunning for me. I flew all the way from Alaska to go to this show, so I was inspired. It was awesome."
"It was freakin' sick, honestly," Monica said. "She's hot and everyone who hates on her: whatevs! She's hella hot!"
Bottom line for Alicia is that Britney proved once again that she's a true performer. "Great costumes! She looks better than ever," she said. "She can put on a show. When you go to a Britney show, you know you're going to get your money's worth, and today was no different."

Hailee Steinfeld To Be Sleeping Beauty

Fairy tales continue to be the new period pieces. In addition to dueling Snow White movies, it looks like there is now a race for a revisionist Sleeping Beauty flick. Today, it was announced that Hailee Steinfield of "True Grit" is attached to a Sleeping Beauty project. Oh, but it won't be the standard take. In this version, Princess Aurora is stuck in a terrifying dream world she has to try to escape. In other words, it'll take more that just a prince's kiss to wake her. This movie sounds cool—kind of like the classic tale meets "Inception"—but I was already pumped for Disney's "Maleficent," which tells the Sleeping Beauty story from the eyes of the evil witch-turned-dragon. Plus, that one will most likely be directed by Tim Burton. What do you think—can the world handle two dark Sleeping Beauty retellings? [MTV]

Amar'e Stoudemire & Ciara On ANOTHER Intimate Date?
It's getting harder and harder for New Yorkers to ignore the chemistry between Amar'e Stoudemire and Ciara. Get the deets on their newest intimate outing inside...
Because pop star Ciara is besties with LaLa Vazquez Anthony whose husband Carmelo Anthony plays for the Knicks, it's only natural that Ciara and Amar'e would be in the same social circle. But it's the moments when the pair are spotted only in the company of each other that makes everyone believe they're relationship denial is B.S.
The "couple" joined LaLa and Carmelo at STK for dinner on Monday, but have been spotted at various other Meatpacking hot spots together. And isn't it convienent that Amar'e just so happens to live in a fabulous multi-million dollar apartment in the Meatpacking district?
One source told PAGE SIX,
"Ciara is best friends with LaLa and has been attending Knicks games with her, including Monday's game. Through Melo and LaLa, her friendship with Amar'e has developed. They have been seen out together on numerous occasions."
And one source reported that the last time the duo were out, Amar'e asked for a very private table.
A rep for Amar'e said, "I know that they are friends," but didn't add much more. Meanwhile, a source close to the Knicks added,
"Ciara is extremely close to LaLa and always sits with her in Carmelo's seats at the games. Ciara has become friends with Amar'e because they are all spending time together."
The two were also looking mighty comfy at Kiyan Anthony's 4th birthday party a few weeks ago. Well whatever this might be, it's a good look for Ciara. As long as Lala, CiCi, and Kim K. are not trying out for a "Basketball Wives" of NYC show--I'm good.

Lady Gaga Releases Country Version Of 'Born This Way'
New take on hit song, dubbed 'The Country Road Version,' features slide guitar, mandolin and harmonica.

You can take all those Madonna comparisons and throw them out the window of your Ford F-150 truck, because on Thursday night Lady Gaga released a new version of her global smash "Born This Way" that featured a totally unexpected spin.
After tweeting to her Little Monsters that she was preparing to release "Born This Way (The Country Road Version)," Mother Monster dropped the tune at midnight PT on Friday (March 25) via her Twitter account ... and it did not disappoint.
The new rendition of the hit opens with ominous, swirling guitars and then introduces a fuzzed-out slide guitar and harmonica wheeze, with all of the thumping disco beats replaced by restrained brush drumming and a more laid-back vibe. Once it kicks into the first chorus, the song continues to take its time, choogling along on live-sounding, laconic drumming and lots of soulful harmonica.
Just before the three-minute mark, Gaga mixes in some new lyrics, drawling, "If I wanna make it country, baby, then it's OK, cuz I was born, I was born, I was born this way," over picked mandolin. "From London, Paris, Japan back to USA/ I was born on the road, I was born to be brave," she adds, as the song breaks into full-on country-rock mode reminiscent of late-period Bon Jovi in the final minute.
Meanwhile, the original, non-boot-scooting version of "BTW" notched its sixth week in a row at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts this week, which is what Gaga said prompted her to drop the surprise remake on her fans.
Earlier this week, Gaga revealed that she's almost done recording her Born This Way album, telling fans via Twitter, "In Nebraska, finishing up record today ... I'm so proud of the album: I keep dancing+drinking: metal/techno rock journey of a woman on the run."
Plans are now being worked up for the tour in support of Born This Way (due out May 23) and Gaga's first swing at directing, a collaboration with her creative director, Laurieann Gibson, on the video for the album's upcoming second single, "Judas."

Lady Gaga Wraps Up Born This Way, Plans Tour
Now that the 'spectacular' album is done, tour plans are next, creative director Laurieann Gibson tells MTV News.

Over the weekend, Lady Gaga tweeted that her May release, Born This Way, was nearly complete. "In Nebraska, finishing up record today," she wrote. "I'm so proud of the album: I keep dancing+drinking: metal/techno rock journey of a woman on the run."
Now, with eight weeks left until it officially drops, Gaga's creative director, Laurieann Gibson, revealed that this album will have the Little Monsters going, well, gaga.
"This new album is spectacular," Gibson told MTV News. "And I got to tell you, you got to really stand by and take notice, 'cause the album is excellent. It's of such excellence that I think that everyone's going to be really impressed and affected."
The first single from the album, the title track, has sat at the top of the charts for weeks, and as Gaga readies the release of a second single, the RedOne-produced "Judas," Gibson said it's just the beginning.
"The records are so visual and large and the concept of birthing has so many levels to it and the dance is never limited, that you're just gonna keep seeing an extension of this story," she explained. "And hopefully [we] get humanity to a place where we can effect change."
With the album basically done, plans for the tour are under way. "We did a theater in an arena and it worked [for the Monster Ball Tour]. ... How do we take it to the next level?" Gibson teased of Gaga's next outing.
What are you expecting from Gaga's album and tour? Let us know in the comments!
